10 March 2012A camp will start in Sharjah tomorrow to provide free heart surgeries for poor patients not having insurance coverage and not eligible for free treatment at govt hospitals. ABU DHABI - Under the supervision of the Emirati Humanitarian Initiative to provide free treatment for one million poor children and elderly persons, a week-long camp will start in Sharjah tomorrow to provide free heart surgeries for poor patients who do not have insurance coverage and are not eligible for free treatment at government hospitals. This humanitarian move, implemented by the Zayed Giving Initiative in association with the UAE Ministry of Health represented by Al Qasimi Hospital in Sharjah, will benefit children and geriatric patients suffering from cardiac disorders, said Dr Arif Al Nooriyani, executive director of Al Qasimi Hospital. A team of Emirati and French surgeons led by Dr Adel Al Shamari and Professor Oliver Jack and assisted by doctors at the Al Qasimi hospital will perform the surgeries |
