*Feeling proud to be Indian * 🇮🇳

While we celebrate 71st birth day of our constitution as Republic day today , It’s really amazing to see the sprit of the indian people united against the barbaric anti-constitutional laws.  to save our constitution which is deeply rooted on secularism and social justice.

Started from students , professors, advocates , Journalists , women activists and intellectuals to the common farmer  in the village - regardless of their religion, caste and colour , they joined together for the democratic protests against the injustice and discrimination. This is the beauty of India - “Unity in Diversity” . This is the core value the right wing fanatics would like to break . This was the same the British tried and failed. Again it’s  time for us to prove that these attempts to divide us will be thrown into garbage .

Our forefathers from different religious background fought united against the British Raj and won the freedom from oppression and slavery . Those who were favoring for British at that time , and those who does not have the belief and respect over our constitution is now asking us to prove our citizenship . Strange...

Two days back , here in Dubai , when I was riding in a Taxi , the Pakistani taxi driver was discussing the news about the unrest and protests in India and he was telling me “ Bayya ! You Musalmans should  have migrated at the time of partition to Pakistan so that you would have not come across such situations “.

I replied “No Way *“ ... with all  my agony and anguish on my face,  I told him  that what you have achieved except bloodshed and instability. On the other hand , despite all the odds and shortcomings ( due to politics) , I feel proud to be Indian. We have best people surrounding us who are raising voice for us . Very few handful of misguided people are with the fanatics of both sides . Otherwise vast majority of Indians( especially in south )  are tolerant and respect each other.  I have shown few videos of current protests and told him , “See !!these are our Hindu and Christian brothers who are in streets against the discrimination and in solidarity with us . They are not politicians but they are with us like brothers and sisters . We respect each others beliefs and we help each other . This Is our India which I won’t believe we can see anywhere else . Finally I was telling him with tears rolling on my face and firmly  “ Worst case , if at all anything happen, with God’s grace , *these people will never allow to put us in the detention camps until their last breath “

This is our India . Our motherland . This soil is enriched with the blood of Tippu Sultan, Bagat Sing , Kattabomman , Bahadur Shah, Khan Sahib , Netaji .. kind of people . This is Gandhi’s India . Let’s not leave it to the Godse’s hatred ideology to hijack our pluralism and tolerance .

India’s uniqueness is not One country , One culture Policy but One country with multiple culture living together in harmony . Let’s unite and ensure our pledge to save our democracy and save our constitution .

Together for a better Tomorrow......
